Marlin Firearms Company – Model 1888 – Serial # 24xxx Circa May 1889. Cal: 38-40. Top eject. Barrel length: 28″ and appears uncut. Dovetail front sight in good condition. There were only about 2,400 1888s produced of which less then 10% were produced in 38-40. Less then 10% were produced in a 28″ barrel length.
